Background Tidbits As a child, Diane dearly loved dolls. This passion grew into a serious interest and a deep desire to share her growing collection with many others during her adult years. These factors, combined with the many visits to the Dawson home of friends and students, gave birth to the dream of opening a business featuring a gift shop and doll exhibits representing various multi-ethnic groups and historical periods. The fruition of this dream is Dolls of Diane Gift Shop and Display established with the goal of offering a unique experience for all who enter in search of novelty gifts as well as invaluable opportunities for historical research, art study, and sheer enjoyment. Statement of Purpose The purpose of Dolls of Diane Gift Shop & Display is to offer an entirely new and fresh experience to residents of the Williamsburg community, visitors from surrounding areas, and tourists. This establishment would provide a unique experience for all who enter since Williamsburg does not currently have a business featuring doll exhibits. The avid doll collector, curiosity seeker, and others would be afforded the opportunity of purchasing rare and beautiful gifts as well as viewing hundreds of dolls representing various multi-ethnic groups and historical periods. |
